So what's your word of the year? Choosing a word of the year provides a simple yet powerful focus to guide your decisions and actions throughout the year.
00:00:37:20 - 00:01:00:18

It acts as a personal compass, helping you stay aligned with your goals and values amidst distractions. Anyone who knows me knows that I love conciseness, so this practice really resonates with me and I do it every year. My word of the year for this upcoming year is eas e se eas. This isn't about avoiding challenges or coasting through life.
00:01:00:22 - 00:01:26:25
Unknown
It's about approaching each moment with confidence, clarity, and a sense of flow. For years, I've worked hard to hone my skills, build meaningful connections, and create opportunities that align with my purpose. Now I'm embracing the trust I've earned in myself and my future. EAS does not appear by chance, but by preparation, persistence, and perspective. I've let go of unnecessary struggles and I've released the hustle.
00:01:26:27 - 00:01:47:24
Unknown
I'm ditching what drains me and I'm doing what delights me. It's about moving through life and knowing that I'm equipped to handle whatever comes next. And I'm going to do it with more confidence, more laughs, and more ease. I have an exercise that I've been doing for years for myself and with my clients to help with clarity. Imagine it's December 31st of next year.
00:01:47:24 - 00:02:11:14
Unknown
What big dreams do you want to bring into reality by then? Now reverse engineer that and what are the goals that will get you there? And now break down each one of those goals into steps and the steps into tasks. Now identify the first task towards that dream and do it right now. Stop what you're doing and do that first task as soon as possible.
00:02:11:22 - 00:02:42:24
Unknown
Don't put it off. Do it today. Do it now. Taking that action with clear intention will magnetize that dream towards you. It starts now. This past year, my word was expansion. I very intentionally expanded my community. I grew my groups and memberships. I launched the Women Podcasters Awards and it was massively successful beyond my expectations. I had overflowing support from the podcasting community, and I had over 400 nominees and over 15,000 votes took place.
00:02:43:01 - 00:03:03:06
Unknown
I created it as an opportunity for podcasters to grow their communities, and I provided tools to help people, and we all had a lot of fun. In my personal life, I decided to spend even more time on self-care and fun stuff. And my word this past year in my personal life was laugh. Literally this year we chose to spend more time laughing.
00:03:03:08 - 00:03:27:04

We've been to several comedy shows. We've traveled just to see comedy shows. We traveled to LA for Netflix is a joke festival, and we went to several comedy shows in Vancouver. We've seen Jerry Seinfeld twice. We saw Nate at Sea, we saw Sebastian Maniscalco, Jim Gaffigan, John Mulaney, Bill Burr, and lots more. So I'll be infusing more light hearted fun into my life.
00:03:27:07 - 00:03:46:18

I've done a number of things this past year to help myself move forward into the next year with more ease. For example, I started getting back into art and drawing, and it's a very specific kind of drawing called neuro graphics, and it does so much for me in my brain. It's like a form of meditation. It's like a vacation for my brain.
00:03:46:18 - 00:04:18:06
Unknown
It resets my brain. You can see some of my drawings on my socials. My sister and I started a group called Calm Doodles Clem Calm Doodles, where people can share their neuro graphic art or any kind of art. I love it. Another thing is my husband and I have been studying manifestation more deeply. If you know our story, which you can listen to in the first episodes of either of our podcast, The Women in Podcasting Show or Inspiring Innovator Show, we have been able to flip our situation from surviving to thriving.
00:04:18:06 - 00:04:37:06
Unknown
And as we study more, we look back and we see we've manifested so many amazing things into our lives that we never thought were possible. And as we move forward in our journey, we're manifesting even more incredible stuff. I am in awe of how the universe works, so we'll be talking more about that on our Inspiring Innovator Show this coming year.
00:04:37:06 - 00:05:00:13

And we have some mind blowing interviews coming up as well. From a podcasting and business perspective, I specifically moved from Libsyn to captivate, and I love it. If you're new to podcasting, Libsyn and Captivate are podcasting hosting platforms. If you want to have a podcast, you need to have a podcast host. They provide the RSS feed for your podcast, and they distribute each episode to all of the podcasting platforms.
00:05:00:15 - 00:05:18:14
Unknown
I had my eye on captivate for a while, and then my mentor Dave Jackson made the move and I figured it was time. So the stats are way more accurate. The tools and the built in AI are priceless. Libsyn was at the top of the industry for a long time, but now captivate has advanced way beyond Libsyn. In my opinion, that's just my opinion.
00:05:18:14 - 00:05:39:09
Unknown
Every aspect is better at captivate for me. So both are podcasting hosts. It's up to you. Research and see which one you like, but that's just my personal opinion and experience. I'm also in the midst of moving from WordPress to system, where I can create all my show notes with ease. It has funnel building features for my lead magnets and sales pages.
00:05:39:13 - 00:06:04:17
Unknown
You can build courses and programs for memberships, and it has complete lead magnet capture and email marketing features. It's saving me tons of time. I was deciding between system SEO and go high level and they both have lots of similar functions, but system SEO, I can build all my show notes using their blog feature. I love creating show notes, and show notes are a great way to engage your audience and build your list towards monetizing your podcasts.
00:06:04:18 - 00:06:20:13
Unknown
And so I just didn't find that in Go high level, didn't have the website functions that I wanted, so they all have the same except for the website and blogging functions. And I love using the blog function to create the show notes. So did you know I have a show notes map and a guide in the Women Podcasters Network?
00:06:20:13 - 00:06:42:18
Unknown
You can find that at Women podcasters.com/join and you can get that and lots of other goodies. And you can see that package alongside all the other member perks. So I'm on a path for more ease in my life and business. How about you? Would you like to ditch what drains you and say yes to what delights you? If you have ever doubted yourself, let this be a reminder.
00:06:42:18 - 00:07:08:03

You are capable, you are worthy, and your journey is unfolding just as it should. I have created a new package called the Ultimate Manifestation Coaching Kit to help you to unlock limitless possibilities for you and your clients.
00:07:08:06 - 00:07:33:08

Customize my manifestation journals, workbooks, ebooks, scripts, and affirmations to use with your own clients and members. Save time and increase your impact. Infuse my manifestation materials into your own practice and create profound results for you and your clients. I'll put the link to that in the show notes of this episode. So what's your word of the year? I'd love to hear it from you.
